How we handle your data.

Last updated September 2026.

Velfi Interiors ("we", "us") is a sole trader business based in Wilburton, Cambridgeshire, providing architectural film wrapping and window film installation. This page explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect

Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:

Your name, email address and phone number
Your postcode or address, where given, to estimate travel to your job
Details of the job you're asking about — measurements, quantities, the surface condition you describe, and the finish you're interested in
Photos or documents you choose to upload, such as photos of a window or glass specification sheets

The wrap visualiser

If you use our wrap visualiser, we collect the photo you upload, the areas and films you choose, and your name, email address and phone number. The photo and your choices are sent to OpenAI, which creates the preview image for us. We store the photo and the preview securely for up to 30 days and then delete them automatically. We use your details to send your preview and to follow up with advice or a quote if you would like one.

Third parties we use

We use a small number of trusted services to run this website and process enquiries:

Netlify — hosts this website and stores visualiser photos temporarily
OpenAI — creates the preview images in the wrap visualiser
Resend — sends the quote and enquiry emails on our behalf
postcodes.io — a free, open UK postcode lookup service, used only to estimate travel distance for a quote; no personal data beyond the postcode itself is sent to it

None of these services use your data for their own marketing, and none of them are permitted to sell it on.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and quote records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, deliver a job, and meet our own bookkeeping and insurance obligations — typically no longer than a few years. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will unless we're legally required to keep it (for example, financial records relating to a completed job).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us at any time to see what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To do any of this, email info@velfiinteriors.com or call 01223 944335.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising cookies. If you choose Accept on the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages people read and which pages lead to enquiries. If you choose Decline, analytics does not run. When you send an enquiry, the form also records which page you came from and any campaign tag in the link, so we know what brought you here. Any technical storage used by the site (for example, to remember your progress through the quote calculator) stays in your own browser and is never sent to us until you submit the form.
