About Velfi Interiors

I first set foot in the sign and graphics industry when I was just 14, doing work experience at Footprint Signs & Graphics in Cambridge. What started as two weeks sweeping the floor and watching others work quickly turned into something much bigger. I loved the hands-on creativity, the precision, and the satisfaction of standing back at the end of a job and seeing something transformed.

After leaving college, I joined Footprint full-time as an apprentice and never looked back. Over the years, I learned every part of the trade — from print production and vehicle wrapping to architectural film installation and project management. By 2016, I was working full time and eventually became the company’s main installer for vehicle wraps and architectural films, before stepping into a Production Manager role overseeing the process from start to finish.

During my time there, I had the chance to work on some incredible projects. Footprint were one of the early adopters of architectural film in the UK, taking on jobs for major clients like John Lewis, the NHS, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, and the University of Cambridge — including the Museum of Zoology project where Sir David Attenborough unveiled the finished work.

I also gained a huge amount of experience installing wall graphics and murals for companies like ARM, Cambridge Assessment, the Grand Arcade, and The Lion Yard. Over the years, I’ve worked alongside more than 20 talented installers, many of whom had far more experience than I did at the time. I made a point of learning from each one, picking up the best techniques and approaches along the way.

I take real pride in my attention to detail and always treat every project — and every client — with genuine care. Whether it’s wrapping desks, fire doors, or fitting window films, my goal is simple: to make every space look its absolute best and make sure my clients feel looked after like family.

As much as I loved my time at Footprint and still have a lot of respect for the team there, I eventually felt the entrepreneurial itch. I wanted to see the direct results of my own hard work and build something I could truly call my own. That’s how Velfi Interiors was born.

I’m lucky to have had great mentors — my old boss James Hempstead now runs one of the most renowned architectural film companies in the world, Footprint Creative in Perth. And I still have strong relationships with others in the industry who I can call on for advice or collaboration when needed.

Today, I’m proud to bring all that experience together through Velfi Interiors — offering architectural wrapping, wall graphics, and window film installations across Cambridge, Ely, and East Anglia. My focus is on quality, sustainability, and honest craftsmanship that speaks for itself.

At Velfi Interiors, my goal is simple — to help people transform their spaces without the waste, cost, or hassle of full replacement. Using high-quality architectural films and window films, I focus on sustainable transformations that look incredible, perform for years, and make sense financially.

I started Velfi because I wanted to bring the same level of craftsmanship and care I learned over the years directly to my own clients. Every job matters, no matter how big or small, and I treat each project like it’s my own home or business.
