What is lift wrapping?

The lift is the first thing tenants judge.

Scuffed stainless, peeling laminate and scratched panels tell anyone stepping in exactly what the building management thinks of the building. Lift interior wrapping transforms the car, the doors and the lobby in a weekend.

Architectural film is applied to the existing interior panels of the lift car. Nothing is removed or replaced. The film changes the surface completely. Brushed stainless, dark timber, concrete, stone. Any finish that reads as considered in a commercial environment.

What surfaces can be wrapped?

Car walls and panels, car doors, fascia and surrounds, and landing doors on each floor. Stainless steel panels take brushed metal, stone, timber and solid colour films equally well, as long as the metal is clean and in good condition. Lift controls, handrails and mechanical parts are left alone.

How long is the lift out of service?

Usually a single weekend or one overnight slot, depending on the size of the lift and the number of landing doors. That is the main reason building managers choose wrapping over panel replacement, which can take a lift out of action for far longer. We plan the work with you and, where it applies, around your lift maintenance contractor.

Is it fire rated?
